1. Introduction
Apteva ("we", "us", "our") operates the apteva.ai website and the Apteva platform, including Apteva Cloud, the Apteva CLI, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up via a third-party provider (e.g., GitHub, Google), we receive your profile information from that provider.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including API calls, agent executions, function invocations, and resource consumption. This data is used for billing, performance monitoring, and service improvement.
Agent & Function Data
Data processed by your agents and functions is treated as your confidential information. We do not access, use, or share the content of your agent conversations, function inputs/outputs, or stored data except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.
Technical Data
We automatically collect device information, IP addresses, browser type, operating system, and log data when you access the Service.
3. How We Use Your Information
- - To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- - To process transactions and send billing notifications
- - To send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages
- - To monitor and analyze usage patterns and trends
- - To detect, prevent, and address fraud and security issues
- - To comply with legal obligations
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Usage logs are retained for 90 days. Agent and function data is retained according to your plan settings and can be deleted at any time through the platform or API. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- - LLM Providers: When your agents make API calls to third-party model providers (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI), prompts and responses are sent to those providers subject to their privacy policies.
- - Infrastructure Providers: We use cloud hosting providers to operate the Service. Data is processed in accordance with our data processing agreements.
- - Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
6. Self-Hosted Deployments
If you self-host Apteva on your own infrastructure, your data remains entirely under your control. We do not collect any data from self-hosted installations unless you explicitly opt in to telemetry. The CLI may check for version updates, which involves a request to our servers containing only the current version number.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access control, and regular security audits. Apteva Cloud is SOC2 compliant. For details on our security practices, contact our security team at security@apteva.ai.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- - Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- - Export your data in a portable format
- - Object to or restrict certain processing
- - Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@apteva.ai.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
